Silvereye is an early-stage software venture developing an intelligent system to advance autonomous drone operations. We do not build drones. We are developing the intelligence layer that could make existing platforms more capable, adaptable and autonomous.
The intelligence layer for autonomous flight.
Our ambition is to develop an AI Pilot architecture that enables compatible unmanned aerial systems to perceive their environment, understand their position, navigate complex environments and execute missions with increasing levels of autonomy.
We believe the future of autonomous flight should not be limited by dependence on conventional positioning systems or rigid, pre-programmed flight behaviour. Our core software system is Pegasus, and its first engineering focus is GPS-resilient positioning and navigation.

How we intend to work.
Build on open foundations
Use established open-source robotics tools such as PX4 and ROS 2, and put our effort into the intelligence layer.
Simulation first
Develop and test in simulation before hardware, so ideas are checked quickly and safely.
Evidence before claims
Describe capabilities as they really are. Results are published only once they have been tested.

Start from real operational problems, learned in conversation with the people who fly.
Silvereye is pre-commercial. We are at the start of engineering work and want to speak with manufacturers, operators and engineers to understand where positioning and navigation hold operations back.
